1SG Allan D. Vergara


Upon immigrating into the U.S.A., First Sergeant Vergara entered the United States Army in March 1993. He completed Basic Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, graduating as a Medical Supply Specialist.

First Sergeant Vergara's assignments include: Medical Supply Specialist, Keller Army Community Hospital, West Point, New York; Medical Supply Specialist and Battalion Driver, 16th Medical Logistics Battalion, Camp Carroll, South Korea; Medical Supply Sergeant and Squad Leader, 547th Area Support Medical Company and 47th Combat Support Hospital, Fort Lewis, Washington; Medical Logistics NCOIC, HHC, Army Central - Saudi Arabia; Medical Logistics Plans NCOIC, Combined Joint Task Force -76, Bagram, Afghanistan; Medical Logistics NCO, HHC, DISCOM, 25th ID (L), Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; Sustainment Medical Supply Office Warehouse NCOIC and Platoon Sergeant, 45th Special Troops Battalion, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii and Q-West, Iraq; Senior Medical Logistics NCO, 62nd Medical Brigade, Joint Base Lewis-McCord, Washington; Task Force 62nd Medical, Bagram, Afghanistan; Detachment Sergeant, HHD, 56th Multifunctional Medical Battalion, Joint Base Lewis-McCord, Washington; Weed Army Community Hospital Logistics Division NCOIC, National Training Center and Fort Irwin, California.

First Sergeant Vergara's deployments include: Operation Desert Shift / Southern Watch, Saudi Arabia; two tours to Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan; Operation Iraqi Freedom.

His military education includes Basic Leader Course, Advanced Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, Medical Logistics Management Course, Equal Opportunity Leader Course, Master Fitness Trainer Course.

His civilian education includes: Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Saint Thomas Aquinas College, Sparkill, New York.

His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal and various deployment and campaign ribbons. He is also a distinguished member of the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club.
